Food Service Aide - Full Time Days

Dietary Aide / Server Start Date: within the next few weeks Orientation Note : Our New Employee Orientations are held every other Wednesday, starting at 10:30am. You will need to attend the full day. Hourly Wage: $15.75/hr + benefits Shift: Full Time, 6AM - 2:30PM Schedule: weekdays with an every other weekend rotation . The Terrace is a skilled nursing facility that cares for older adults who need extra support. Some of our residents are here short term to recover after surgery or illness. Others live with us long term, including those with Alzheimer’s or memory loss. Every person here depends on us . And we take that responsibility to heart. Job Description What you will do in this role: As a Dietary Aide , you play an important role in caring for our patients. For most, a meal is more than just food. It’s a moment of comfort and connection during a challenging time. Your kindness and attention help bring smiles and strength, making a real difference every day .
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to work week day shifts and every other weekend
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe Food Handler Certificate (preferred)
- Some prior food service experience – specifically in a medical facility or commercial/central kitchen (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of computer-based documentation systems
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Serve meals with care and encouragement
- Clear and clean tables , creating a welcoming and comfortable dining space
- Assist with dishwashing and support the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly
- Work closely with your team to ensure every patient receives the right meal, on time, with a friendly touch
