Requirements

  • Minimum/no experience YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • EDUCATION REQUIRED High School Diploma or equivalent (G. E.D.), may include specialized or vocational courses
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED NYC Dept of Health Food Handlers Certificate
  • SKILLS REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year related experience Food Services YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Responsibilities

  • Adjusts to changing situations and work assignments.
  • Follows through on assignment and directives.
  • Cleans and sanitizes according to regulatory standards. This includes kitchen equipment, pots/pans/utensils, dishware, food preparation surfaces and work/storage areas.
  • Disposes trash according to department standards.
  • Maintains flow of food/supplies according to operating standards.
  • Prepares menu offerings according to recipe and safe food handling standards.
  • Portions ingredients according to standard.
  • Provides meal service to patients, family members and visitors according to meal service standards.
  • Maintains and develops competence through required in-service and continuing educational programs.
  • Participates in Strategic Improvement Process activities as appropriate and requested including team membership.
