About The Position

The Food Server position at El Cortez Hotel and Casino is a union role focused on providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass pre-employment (hair & urine) drug test.
• Pass background check.
• One year of experience as a Server in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
• Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
• Knowledge of food service regulations and procedures.
• Able to stay on your feet for an extended period and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the system in a timely manner.
• Memorize food and beverage menus and make recommendations to dining room customers.
• Provide attentive service to customers by refilling drinks as needed and checking in during meals.
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
