About The Position

The position involves maintaining current and accurate information regarding the menu, greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders promptly, and ensuring high service levels. The role requires proficiency in operating the POS system and handling cash accurately. The server must communicate effectively with guests and staff, prioritize service for tiered players, and handle high-pressure situations professionally. Responsibilities include ensuring tables are presentable, upselling menu items, delivering food promptly, and maintaining cleanliness standards. The server must adhere to company policies and work collaboratively with the culinary team and management to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior Food Server experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Must be able to carry and balance service tray on shoulder.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Knowledge of menu prices and composition of food and beverage menu items is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and react to changing business demands.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains current and accurate information regarding menu preparation.
  • Greets and welcomes each guest seated in assigned station.
  • Takes initial food and/or beverage order within 2 minutes of guest being seated.
  • Repeats order back to ensure accuracy.
  • Proficient in the operating functions of the POS computer and cash handling.
  • Maintains expected service levels and ensures accurate handling of revenue.
  • Communicates effectively in a clear, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Differentiates guest service and gives priority service to appropriate tier leveled players.
  • Handles high pressure and difficult situations professionally.
  • Ensures tables are clear, set up, and presentable for guests.
  • Displays an upbeat and positive attitude when greeting guests.
  • Presents and up-sells specials and menu items.
  • Engages guests in conversation during their dining experience.
  • Suggests items based on expressed guest preferences.
  • Correctly enters food and beverage orders into the POS system.
  • Delivers prepared food to the appropriate guest within three minutes.
  • Returns to table within five minutes of order delivery to ascertain guest satisfaction.
  • Resolves service issues and reports guest dissatisfaction to the supervisor.
  • Presents check for payment to correct customers and invites them back.
  • Maintains cleanliness standards at tables and work stations.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Assists bus persons in bussing, cleaning, and setting tables.
  • Works closely with other servers and the culinary team to ensure quality.
  • Upholds standards of dining room ambiance and atmosphere.
  • Handles and solves concerns and questions from guests.
  • Maintains a professional manner and posture at all times.
