About The Position

Reporting to the Manager Research and Development, you will develop snacks products from concept through commercialization while connecting U.S., Canadian, and global R&D teams. You will create and maintain formulas, guide product qualifications, and support scale‑up, plant trials, and international commercialization with a focus on technical accuracy, collaboration, and cross‑regional alignment. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Lead new and existing snacks development initiatives across Canada and Global Markets. Serve as the technical lead connecting U.S. and international R&D teams on shared projects. Formulate products to meet cost targets, nutritional profiles, ingredient statements, and sensory goals. Adapt and reformulate products to meet regional regulatory needs, ingredient availability, and consumer preferences. Build and maintain formulations and specifications using SAP, Oracle, and related systems. Develop plans to gather analytical data supporting nutritional labeling and certifications for multiple regions. Conduct bench work, pilot trials, plant tests, and global start‑ups with limited supervision. Act as a technical liaison, ensuring consistent communication across Canada and global regions. Support plants and business partners to drive efficient production and product quality. Partner with cross‑functional teams across processing, marketing, finance, packaging and brand design, procurement, quality, regulatory, and manufacturing. Ingredients Required for Your Success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in the food industry (not including graduate work or internships); snacks or baking experience preferred
  • Experience in product design, formulation, ingredient functionality, process design, scale‑up, and commercialization.
  • Plant exposure or experience.
  • Self‑directed, forward-thinking, and comfortable working with a remote manager.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects across platforms, regions, and time zones.
  • Working knowledge of global regulations, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SAP, and Oracle.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across cultures and disciplines.
  • Up to 25 percent travel, including domestic and international travel.
