About The Position
As a Food Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting the Research & Development team at our Omaha, NE, R&D Center. This position leads the design, planning, validation, and implementation of new products, line extensions, product improvements, and technical services for TreeHouse Foods-ensuring alignment with product offering requirements. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Collaborate cross-functionally to execute product development from bench to production scale for new products, product improvements, and cost-saving initiatives. Define formulation, nutritional, and process parameters to ensure products meet project objectives, with a clear understanding of their impact on overall outcomes. Develop raw material, process, and finished product specifications, ensuring accurate setup within corresponding systems. Apply sound scientific methodologies throughout all stages of development, including trial planning, data analysis, and solution implementation to meet project goals. Identify opportunities to gain competitive advantage through innovation and differentiation. Provide expert judgment and apply appropriate levels of technical rigor to support sound business decisions. Partner and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Engineering. Ensure successful technology transfer during product commercialization, providing technical oversight for internal and external manufacturing start-ups and ongoing technical support. Make significant and ongoing contributions by applying advanced, specialized knowledge to achieve project success. Support and drive pipeline development aimed at cost optimization through formulation and process efficiencies.
