The scope of this position is to ensure product quality, program compliance and food safety by performing all quality checks and observe all plant departments to ensure adherence to the quality systems’ programs. The technician must be in their work area, ready to work at the posted start time. This position is required to carry and communicate with the company provided radio at all times. Be knowledgeable on all product specifications for specific customers. Be knowledgeable on all SPS, SSOP and GMP programs. Be knowledgeable and follow all standard operating procedures for the job position. All team members are required to adhere to all Food Safety Policies and immediately take control of, correct and report any potential Food Safety deficiencies. FSQS technician must be able to perform physical work in all conditions, must be able to stand on hard surfaces and be on his/her feet for long periods of time. Some lifting, pushing, bending, twisting, and pulling will be required. Will be required to work in refrigerated areas for long periods of time. Ensure timely and appropriate communication across the facility and management teams. Participate in FSQS department training in regard to food safety and product quality. Ensure compliance to regulatory, food safety and customer expectations.
