About The Position

Join our team as an Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include: Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Documenting and calculating results accurately. Taking corrective action when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handling additional assignments as requested. At Tyson Foods, safety is paramount. This includes both personal safety and food safety. This position works B Shift. This position pays $22.15/hour and is paid weekly! Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting. Involves lifting materials and products up to 70 pounds. Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required. Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
  • Must function well under stress.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more).
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Must work in cold/hot temperatures
  • Must be able to work in wet environment
  • Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
  • Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently
  • Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends
  • Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered.
