About The Position

As the Coborn’s FSQA Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role in safeguarding product integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and championing continuous improvement—all while contributing to an employee-owned company where your impact truly matters. Your leadership ensures that every product meets the highest standards—delighting guests, protecting the brand, and exceeding federal and state requirements. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Merchandising, and Supply Chain, you’ll help deliver consistency, innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in food manufacturing, QA, or food safety

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance with USDA/FDA regulations (FSMA, HACCP, cGMPs, SSOPs) and maintain all food safety systems
  • Own and manage HACCP and Preventive Controls programs, including documentation and SOPs
  • Serve as primary lead for audits, inspections, and traceability events
  • Establish and enforce product quality standards, including sensory expectations and consistency
  • Oversee product evaluations, shelf-life validation, and resolution of quality issues and complaints
  • Partner with plant operations to monitor production, manage CCPs, and address risks in real time
  • Provide technical support for food safety, quality, and new product development initiatives
  • Lead audit readiness efforts and oversee sanitation, environmental monitoring, and allergen control programs
  • Train and develop teams on food safety practices while fostering a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Track and report key performance metrics, driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and ongoing operational improvements
