Food Runner - La La Noodle - Park MGM
About The Position
As a Food Runner at La La Noodle in Park MGM, you will support a fast-paced dining experience centered around bold, Asian-inspired flavors and a lively atmosphere. In this role, you will deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring each dish is presented with care and reaches the correct guest in a timely manner. You will confidently describe menu items and respond to guest inquiries with clarity and professionalism, contributing to a smooth and engaging service flow. Through strong communication, attention to detail, and teamwork, you will help create a well-executed and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.
Requirements
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 6+ months of prior relevant experience in a high-volume dining restaurant as a food runner or server preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter
- Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes
- Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions)
- Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position
- Perform assigned open and closing side-work
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area
