About The Position

As a Café Runner at The Pfister Hotel, you will ensure timely delivery of food orders, maintain communication between servers and the kitchen, and provide support in creating a seamless dining experience. You will play a key role in upholding service standards and guest satisfaction in our vibrant café. Requirements

• Knowledge of tray setups and service ware.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stay on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to understand verbal English for guest requests and written English for safety notices.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport items up to 50 lbs.
• No prior experience required; hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to learn menu items and garnishes.
• Ability to multi-task and stay composed during peak hours.
• Ability to self-motivate during slower periods.
• Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Set up garnishes for dishes and prepare trays for service.
• Stock dishware, silverware, and linens as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Reset trays promptly and efficiently throughout service.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down station at beginning and end of shift.
• Deliver food orders accurately and in a timely manner to guests.
• Maintain ticket times and ensure prompt delivery consistent with quoted times.
• Ensure proper plate presentation standards are met before delivery.
• Assist with guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively between servers and kitchen associates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
