Compensation: Full-time or Part-time Hourly, Depending upon experience (Non-tipping Club) Schedule: Lunch and Dinner shirts, weekends and holidays are necessary Location: Broken Sound Club - 2401 Willow Springs Dr, Boca Raton, Florida 33496 Position Summary: Food Runners establish and maintains professional standards of conduct and appearance at all times while in restaurant(s). Assists food and beverage operation by running food to an appropriate table, assist in any beverage assistance the servers need, along with clearing tables between courses and for next reservation. Sets upside station and performs assigned side work. Collects food and beverage products and small wares required for item preparation. Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usable always following the FIFO method. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations. Maintain Safe Staff Food Handling Certification valid. Training will be made available. Moving furniture in dining rooms/banquet rooms when needed. Serves water as guests are seated- bread baskets- coffee service. Assists in carrying food trays to tables. Set and clean tables as members/guests leave; assists other servers in tasks. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the food menu. Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary. Serves meal; places dishes by courses in front of each person; ladies first, then guests. Always remember to serve from the left of the person. Remove soiled dishes from the table promptly. Returns soiled food preparation utensils, and small ware items and removed soiled dishes to the proper dishwashing areas. Removes soiled linen and replaces it with clean linen. Return soiled linen to the proper linen area. Assist with stocking the server’s station with supplies. Collects trash from the dining room, and other specific areas after each serving period. Dust chairs before and after meals. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation. Keeps tables, dining room, and bus station clean and tidy, performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager. Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices. Attends all scheduled employee meetings. Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Captain or Dining Room Manager. Assists with buffet set up and break down including chaffing dishes and yogurt machines. Set up and break down runner misplaced according to SOP and portion sizes. Performs other special duties as requested by Manager on Duty. Keeps ice bins and buckets filled.
