About The Position

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: “Project Name”, set outside of “closest and largest recognizable city/state”. “Project Name” is seeking a Busser / Runner to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Busser/Runner is responsible for pickup and delivery of food and beverage items to appropriate table in a timely manner, as well as persistently clearing plates, glassware and silverware throughout service. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Luxury hotel, private club or restaurant experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proof of a negative TB test required.
Food safety certification required.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred; basic math skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (8) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling

Responsibilities

Provide a dining experience consistent with the standards of the club in all areas of member service.
Greet all members and guests politely and promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front of the house work areas at all times.
Educate yourself with extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
Deliver food items to members.
Ensure finishing touches are on all plates before delivering food orders.
Ensure members have all appropriate tableware needed.
Check in with tables to ensure their experience is great.
Clear, remark, and setup tables
Uphold sanitation and food safety principles.
Demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to members needs during all interactions.
Handle improtu requests from management and members.
Any other duties as assigned.
Execute food and beverage service and assistance in other restaurants, comfort stations, and special events as assigned by management.
