At Fleming’s, your first and most important responsibility will be creating memorable moments for our Guests. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for stocking and organizing the Expo area and restocking plates and service items throughout the shift. The Food Runner will function as a liaison between the Heart of House and the dining room to maintain the Guest’s desired pace and will effectively communicate with various positions and demonstrate the skills needed to execute the shift. A Food Runner will be an expert in Steak Excellence by knowing the plating & serving standards for all dishes. The Food runner will ensure that all food is removed promptly from the window, uphold all food safety and sanitation standards, and receive training in KDS. The Food Runner will have full knowledge of the menu and features, be able to describe each dish when placing it in front of the Guest, and French serve as needed. Other responsibilities may include deshelling Lobster Tails, marking the table for the next course, taking off-premises orders over the phone, using packaging guidelines for food pick up, tender payment, and closing checks.
