ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned. Interact with all guests and team members to positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. Answering phone, greeting customers, and keeping track of seat availability in restaurant. Responsible for assisting with bussing and resetting tables. Responsible for following all cashiering policy and procedures particularly with accuracy and safeguarding of funds, i.e. cash, comps, credit cards etc. Responsible for cleaning host area, stairway, and entrances to restaurant. Clear tables, move tables and chairs, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming restaurant. Assign wait staff to service patrons in their appropriate section. Responsible for regular and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts. Assist in ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees. Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest. Other duties as assigned. MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist wait staff as needed. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS The position is responsible to the Restaurant Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties. EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following Cash register Cleaning equipment Serving trays ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical demands associated with the position including, but not limited to, the following Walking / standing – 90% Bending / lifting –5% (up to 35lbs. without assistance) Sitting – 5% Restaurant and Casino environment exposed to various temperatures, smoke, dust and fumes, bright lights, and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Use of stairs, elevators, and / or escalators.
