About The Position

Overview The Food Runner supports servers and serves as a liaison between the kitchen, servers, and guests. Ensures hot food is delivered hot and cold food is delivered cold to the appropriate server and/or guests. Provide garnish, presentation, and preparation assistance in the kitchen. This role pays an hourly rate of $9 to $12. Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Requirements

  • Must be 16 or over
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guests
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays, and long hours
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Deliver food from kitchen to appropriate server and assist server with delivery of food to guests
  • Work with expeditor to ensure efficient delivery of food based on restaurant layout
  • Perform food preparation duties when needed
  • Follow all Chickie’s & Pete’s service standards
  • Check food for quality and presentation before serving. All food should be presented according to menu builds
  • Ensure food is transported and handled in a sanitary manner
  • Deliver to-go orders to Host/Hostess stand for guest pick-up
  • Assist in bussing and cleaning responsibilities
  • Ensure all condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well-stocked
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests, comments and complaints and bring any issues to the attention of management
  • Complete beginning, change, and end of shift duties
  • Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
  • Provide garnish for specified menu items according to Menu Build
  • Assist in keeping work areas clean
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings
  • Additional tasks as assigned by management
