About The Position

Black Desert Resort, located in the stunning landscape of Southern Utah, offers a luxury dining experience at Latitude Restaurant, known for its exceptional cuisine, upscale ambiance, and impeccable service. The Food & Beverage Department plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for all guests. Job Summary: The Food Runner at 20th Hole Restaurant is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to guests with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism. Reporting to the General Manager, this role ensures timely service, proper food presentation, and guest satisfaction, while assisting the service team in maintaining a high-level dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a food runner, busser, or in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, ensuring smooth collaboration between FOH and BOH staff.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize service needs in a high-end dining setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and navigate a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including lunch shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate food delivery from the kitchen to guests while maintaining proper plate presentation.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, chefs, and kitchen staff to ensure correct food items are delivered to the appropriate tables.
  • Assist servers in table maintenance, including clearing plates, refilling beverages, and resetting tables as needed.
  • Provide detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and modifications to answer guest questions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all service areas, including food stations and expo lines.
  • Uphold health and safety standards, ensuring all food handling procedures are followed.
  • Support the expediting process by ensuring plates are prepared to chef’s standards before delivery.
  • Assist in stocking and restocking service stations, ensuring all supplies are available during service.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring guests receive their meals promptly and correctly
  • Other duties as assigned
