We’re looking for a part‑time Food Runner who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working closely with a team, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service. Food Runners are essential to the flow of our dining operations. You’ll be the link between our kitchen and our guests, ensuring dishes are delivered promptly, accurately, and beautifully. You’ll support our servers, maintain the pace of service, and help uphold the high standards that define The Lenox. You’ll work across our three unique dining outlets: Sweeney’s on Boylston. A lively neighborhood favorite serving authentic Irish classics and Lenox staples. Always spirited, always welcoming. The Irving at The Lenox. An intimate lobby cocktail bar with turn‑of-the-century charm, known for beautifully crafted cocktails and a sense of intrigue. Willow & Ivy. Led by Executive Chef Daniel Kenney, Willow & Ivy offers a fresh, refined take on New England–inspired American cuisine in a reimagined, inviting space.
Requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or food service preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Comfortable carrying trays and navigating a busy dining room
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately
- Ensure dishes are presented according to restaurant standards
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service
- Assist in clearing, resetting, and maintaining clean dining areas
- Support the service team with side work and setup/breakdown tasks
- Anticipate guest needs and respond with professionalism and warmth
- Maintain a polished, guest‑focused demeanor at all times
