About The Position

Food Runners are responsible for ensuring that all food gets out of the window in a timely fashion to our guests while checking the orders for accuracy and finalizing additional requests to confirm the ticket is ready for serving. Food Runners are the main means of communication between the FOH and BOH. They also support and work alongside servers to ensure the highest level of customer service and efficiency while performing their daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon Food Handlers card & OLCC permit.
  • Competent with computers and willing to learn the Point of Sale system.
  • Able to stand for long periods while using hands.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Flexible with hours and days of work.
  • Able to work any hours of the day, any day of the week.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Superb customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Must work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Food service operations experience of 1-3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer, answering commonly asked questions, and moving the guest through the transaction process promptly.
  • Be familiar with all menu items, products, sides, dressings, sauces, toppings, garnishes, and most importantly food allergies.
  • Accurately prepare all orders according to the ticket.
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately.
  • Be the bridge between FOH and BOH regarding food orders by communicating clearly with the kitchen and wait staff.
  • Maintain a professional and personable appearance.
  • Have a pleasant demeanor and work well as a team with other staff members.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as well as rotate and keep products stocked throughout the day.
  • Clean and sanitize service stations and keep them in an orderly manner throughout the shift.
  • Advise Management when certain products are running low and need to be reordered.
  • Have working knowledge of restaurant terms and requests for both BOH and FOH.
  • Be aware of ticket times and server pickup times.
  • Accountable for accurate timekeeping. Responsible for clocking in and out with employee passes.
  • Completes any reasonable task assigned by the supervisor.
  • Observe mountain-wide policies found in the Employee Handbook.
