About The Position

The Food Runner - Room Service position is responsible for delivering food and beverages from the kitchens to guests. Key duties include refilling, setting/resetting, stocking, clearing, and cleaning dishes, glassware, silverware, linens, condiments, beverages, and napkin holders. The role requires providing excellent customer service, fostering a fun and exciting environment, promoting positive interactions with co-workers and guests, and maintaining professionalism. Adherence to company and departmental policies, health & sanitation guidelines, and uniform standards is crucial. Additional tasks involve preparing food orders, setting trays, transporting items to food service areas, maintaining breakdown areas and condiment tables, completing all set-up, stocking, and closing duties on time, and ensuring a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced setting and comply with state liquor laws.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain RAMP alcoholic certification.
Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat and grasp.
Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours.
Repeated bending and lifting.
Must be able to lift and carry small and large trays and/or bus tubs weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle or seek assistance for all types of guest related situations.
Must be able to pass all Training and Tests associated with job.
Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service to our dining guests.

Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, polite, and congenial and efficient attitude.
Relays guest complaints/compliments to the appropriate supervisor.
Adhere to established company and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
Adheres to health & sanitation guidelines including food and beverage policy and procedures.
Maintains company and departmental uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times.
Prepare food orders, set trays, and transport food & beverage items to food service areas.
Maintain breakdown area and condiment tables.
Completes all established set-up, stocking and closing duties on time.
Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free environment within area of responsibility.
Adheres to state liquor laws as applicable.
Performs all related, compatible, and miscellaneous duties as assigned by leadership.
