About The Position

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest 'ski beaches' in the world. The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 436 luxury accommodations including 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units with approximately 30,000 square feet of versatile indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/après ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and 3 whirlpools, kids club, and fitness area. Requirements

  • Must be available to work during high-volume hours, including peak dining times and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on cleanliness and organization.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area.
  • Verify that all food items meet the restaurant's quality standards and presentation specifications before they are sent out.
  • Organize and manage tickets to ensure that orders are delivered to the correct tables in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure that all orders are correct and complete.
  • Maintain a clean and organized expo station in each venue, including keeping track of plates, utensils, and condiments.
  • Report any equipment problems, safety hazards, or unsafe practices to supervisor.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and perform other duties as delegated by leadership.
  • Deliver food orders to the appropriate table.
  • Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed in both venues.
  • Address any guest concerns regarding their food promptly and professionally.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in the kitchen areas including wiping down surfaces, cleaning utensils, and maintaining a sanitary environment.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment in each venue is cleaned and stored properly.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Sweep and mop expo work areas.
  • Return any items from the dining areas of both venues to their proper locations in the kitchen or storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen or management team.
  • Assist in organizing and restocking supplies as needed.
