About The Position

The Food Production Worker plays a key role in the preparation, production, and packaging of food products. The individual is responsible for ensuring that food is produced safely, efficiently, and according to company standards, while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. 6am to 2pm. Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or food safety certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and tracking production quantities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Follow Recipe/Build Specs to build sandwiches and salads with production team. Assembly line/team building environment.
  • Assist in preparing raw ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring for use in recipes.
  • Operate food production equipment (mixers, ovens, fryers, etc.) according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Follow recipes and production instructions to ensure food quality and consistency.
  • Monitor holding times and temperatures to maintain food safety standards.
  • Food Packaging & Labeling: Package finished food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Label packages with correct product information, expiration dates, and other required details.
  • Ensure that packaging is neat, secure, and attractive for presentation to customers.
  • Quality Control & Safety: Perform routine checks for food quality, ensuring products meet taste, texture, and appearance standards.
  • Monitor production areas for adherence to health, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Report any issues related to food quality, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe practices to supervisors.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines, including the use of proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and sanitation procedures.
  • Production Line Support: Assist in maintaining an efficient production line by following established workflows and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of food production equipment and work areas.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the inventory process by tracking ingredients and supplies used in production.
  • Report low inventory levels and help maintain proper stock levels to prevent production delays.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other production associates, quality control staff, and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules, quality concerns, and process improvements.
