About The Position

To perform the Cafeteria Worker position successfully an individual must perform the duties of this job satisfactorily at a sustained level of productivity by preparing and serving food, maintaining cafeteria cleanliness and running a cash register.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous food handling experience
• Good communication skills
• Strong Customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets serving line, including placement of hot and cold foods, bakery items, beverages, supplies and condiments. Restock items as needed.
• Accurately operate a cash register, take customer money and count back change.
• Assist in menu planning.
• Receive and store food and supply items upon delivery weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Ensure that proper procedures, temperatures and time periods are adhere to during food preparation.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Washes dishes and equipment and assists in work area clean up.
• Serves food by maintaining appropriate portion sizes and controls food line activity to ensure orderly and efficient meal service.
• Operate powered industrial vehicle for food service delivery or regular vehicle.
• Prepares food and beverage catering to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Participate in team meetings and activities.
• Assist with the training of other employees.
• Attend all scheduled training sessions.
