Sodexo Live! has an exciting opportunity for a Food Operations Manager to join the elite team of professionals who operate the new Sapphire Lounge by The Club, at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. This luxury lounge is a dedicated space for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy chef-created dishes or order from the full-service bar serving premium wine and spirits. Sodexo Live! provides hospitality services to airport lounges, stadiums, arenas, convention and conference centers, zoos, museums, and more. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in food service operations, exhibiting a focus with human resources functions
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • prior experience working in a unionized environment
  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
  • attention to detail; a keen eye for maintaining high standards in a luxury setting
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • support the day-to-day food and beverage operations within a premium/luxury airport lounge
  • lead with a strong focus on human resources compliance at the site level
  • support the recruitment, interviewing, employee onboarding, and the airport badging process
  • monitor CBA, disciplinary action process, documentation, and attend labor meetings
  • ensures employee satisfaction
  • engage with airport authorities and local management regarding operations
  • develop and maintain client, customer, and guest relationships
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop managers, frontline (hourly) staff
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met and provide an exceptional guest experience to passengers.
