About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 3 for Springfield City Schools in Springfield, MA. This exciting hands‑on leadership role oversees multi‑site food service operations across the district with direct responsibility for 12 managers. The Food Operations Manager 3 serves as a strong people leader and internal auditor, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and consistency across production, safety, and operational standards. Success in this role requires a confident, detail‑driven leader who holds managers accountable, reviews operational metrics, and builds effective client relationships. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. Requirements

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety, sanitation, and compliance
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Servsafe certification and a valid DL are required
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
