Food & Nutrition Services - Supervisor Department: Food & Nutrition Services Status Hours: Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly Shift: Flexible hours, may include occasional nights Includes: Every other weekend & holiday rotation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Job Summary: Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor to lead our Food & Nutrition Services team. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring food safety and quality, maintaining proper food storage, and supporting our staff in creating a safe and efficient environment. Requirements

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietetic Technician (RDT) required.
  • Associate degree in Food Service Management or Dietetic Technician program from a two-year college or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in food service management or related field, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work occasional night and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both with staff and the public.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive, safe, and efficient work environment

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities of the food services department to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Review and manage staffing schedules, addressing any issues or gaps in coverage.
  • Maintain food production standards in line with health policies, ensuring food is safe and high-quality.
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory records and place orders as needed to ensure consistent food production.
  • Ensure all food items are served according to menu specifications, following FCHC policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment in the department, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Train and mentor food services staff, fostering teamwork, growth, and morale.
  • Maintain logs for necessary equipment maintenance, perform preventative checks, and recommend equipment replacements as needed.
  • Ensure all food safety/temperature logs are accurately completed with corrective actions taken when necessary.
  • Stay informed of daily catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
  • Fill in for absent employees as needed and adjust to changing duties or schedules.
  • Attend staff meetings, maintain communication with the team (via email, phone, or other internal communication tools), and promote positive public relations.
