Our client is seeking a Sanitation Worker to join their team and play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in their manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and takes pride in keeping workspaces organized and compliant with industry standards.
Requirements
- Industrial sanitation experience is required (Janitorial or housekeeping experience does NOT qualify).
- Previous food manufacturing sanitation experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a wet, cold, and fast-paced environment .
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Clean and Sanitize Equipment Clean and sanitize industrial production and packaging equipment.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough sanitation.
- Follow Safety and Compliance Standards Follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines (SQF standards).
- Handle cleaning chemicals properly and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Support Operational Efficiency Ensure all equipment is cleaned and ready for use before production starts.
- Identify and report any maintenance or safety issues.
