About The Position

Food for Good is the PepsiCo Foundation's global platform for advancing food security and making nutritious food accessible. As a contributor to meeting PepsiCo Positive commitments, Food for Good has delivered more than 245 million meals to more than 41 million people around the world by partnering with more than 60 nonprofits across 28 countries to implement local solutions that meet the unique challenges of each community. The success of this program depends on our Drivers who drive a Food For Good sprinter van and deliver the meals to the children each day.

Requirements

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You have a valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
  • Availability to work every weekday (Monday - Friday) and some weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Passionate about working with children and serving the community.
  • Have strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Delivery experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a representative of the program in the community.
  • Collaborate and build rapport with nonprofit partners who are responsible for counting and documenting each child who receives a meal.
  • Build trust at each stop with parents, children, apartment managers, and community members to maximize the number of children served.
  • Interact with the children at the delivery sites.
  • On occasion, serve meals to children.
  • Be creative in responding to challenges (e.g., rain) and take initiative to maximize the number of children served.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage daily inventory by checking outgoing inventory each morning for quantity, temperature, and supplies.
  • Keep accurate count of meals served at each stop.
  • Count final daily inventory and document any discrepancies with meal count.
  • Complete daily driver checklist at end of each shift.
  • Report daily numbers, stories, and issues to the City Manager.
  • Follow injury incident report processes if injury occurs.
  • Ensure food and vehicle safety by following safe food handling procedures while setting up tables, unloading cases, and serving the meals at each stop.
  • Ensure temperature of food remains below 41 degrees F before serving to a child.
  • Safely operate the delivery truck to conduct daily delivery to 10-14 community locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
  • Follow delivery compliance procedures for food and meal programs.
  • Safely handle and properly use company owned devices and fuel cards.
