About The Position

The Food Expo at Dust Bowl Brewing Company is responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, portioning, and presentation. This role involves organizing meal deliveries, communicating effectively with kitchen staff and servers, and ensuring a smooth operation during service hours.

Requirements

• Certified Food Safety Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and/or cooking
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar capacity (Food Expo)

Responsibilities

• Set up, prep, stock, rotate, and re-stock stations for opening service
• Prepare a variety of foods according to prep lists, delegating by priority
• Communicate with supervisors, line cooks, and servers when stock and/or items are running low
• Package to-go orders
• Assist cooks and Food Truck kitchen staff with various tasks as needed
• Provide servers with needed condiments, salads, sides, etc.
• Maintain cleanliness and efficiency in assigned areas during service
• Manage POS/KDS screens, upcharges, and special request instructions with FOH and BOH
• Shut down, clean, and sanitize stations
• Take orders from guests using the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner
• Clear tables after guests
• Take soiled dishes to the kitchen and unload, sort, and place dishes in designated areas
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
• Perform any other tasks assigned by kitchen Keyholder(s) and/or Manager(s)
