About The Position

We are currently seeking a talented Chemical or Mechanical engineering professional to be our Food Engineering Group, located in Burr Ridge, IL. In this role, you will lead the design, specification, and installation of new and existing product lines of food freezing equipment. Work closely with the Research and Development, Application Engineers and Business Development Managers to support the development of offerings that meet the unique aspects of our customers' needs and expectations. Work independently and make technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost and other benefits. Assist with the development and implementation innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or other related technical discipline required. (Master's Degree Preferred)
  • Demonstrated organizational, verbal/written communication, and problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated 3-dimensional modeling of mechanical systems and an understanding of how to convert 3-dimensional models into two-dimensional engineering drawing required.
  • Firm grasp of the regulatory requirements for food process equipment.
  • Willingness to work at the production facility.
  • An understanding of control system design (eg Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 and Programming Allen Bradley PanelView Plus graphic terminals); experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs across multiple organizational disciplines preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while prioritizing issues and tasks.
  • Previous managerial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Linde's Food Freezer production team on the assembly floor to understand key equipment requirements and trouble shoot production issues on newly developed offerings.
  • Assist with the automated manufacturing of commercial offerings consist of food freezing equipment, wastewater treatment equipment, flow monitoring equipment as well as other industrial process equipment.
  • Gain an understanding or our standard product line equipment and their capabilities.
  • Work with team members to assist in resolving technical and quality issues.
  • Participates in multi-functional teams to establish solutions.
  • Meets with customers to discuss program growth opportunities, product specifications or improvements.
  • Travel up to 40%
