About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable individual to assist with meal delivery and kitchen support for approximately 100 students. This role is essential to our daily operations and requires both driving and manual handling responsibilities. Please note meals are prepared offsite, brought to New Directions, and disbursed to the students. This role would include very limited cooking.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable navigating stairs multiple times in one trip.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for the past 5 years:
• Limited accidents
• No suspensions or DUI within the last 5 years
• Dependable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
• Must have PA MVR with acceptable driving record, FBI Clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Clearance, and Mandated Reporter Training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food service or delivery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver lunches from a local school district to New Directions Private Academic School using an agency vehicle.
• Carry trays of food (up to 35 lbs. each) down 15-20 steps, approximately 15 trips up and down the stairs, per day.
• Manage the meal service around 11:30 AM.
• Perform light cleaning duties in the kitchen and cafeteria, including garbage removal.
• Tolerate outdoor temperature variations for about 30 minutes while loading food trays.
