The Food & Consumables Coach leads and develops teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives. This role models exceptional customer service, manages customer service initiatives, and resolves customer issues. The Coach drives financial performance and sales for the designated store area by evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink. Responsibilities also include supervising and developing hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. The position coordinates job-related activities, maintains stakeholder relationships, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, supporting Walmart's mission and values.
