Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License.

- Prior experience in a bar or Food & Beverage environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the guest service requirements listed above.
- Responsible for maintaining assigned areas and backing up bartenders as needed to ensure guest service standards are met.
- Maintains a well-stocked and fully prepared bar, including stocking functions for dry goods and liquor rooms.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
- Performs routine cleaning and day-to-day maintenance of all bar equipment.
- Requires a working knowledge of various cleaning supplies and chemicals, including safe handling, storage, and usage requirements.
- Becomes knowledgeable of drink recipes and the proper glassware for each beverage.
- Conducts oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image for Ameristar Casino Black Hawk.
- Practices and observes all safety rules and regulations and encourages others to do the same.
- Ensures bars and storage areas are completely stocked for the next shift.
- Works independently when necessary, while promptly informing the bartender on duty of any issues or concerns.
- Becomes knowledgeable in the operation of cash and comp procedures, blenders, strainers, coffee makers, glass washers, and coolers.
- Maintains all required and current work cards, including TIPS Training.
- Learns and operates liquor, soda, and juice dispensing systems.
- Assists with monthly Food & Beverage warehouse and beverage inventory.
- Receives, unloads, and properly puts away pallets and deliveries for the kitchen, Starbucks, beverage warehouse, and other Food & Beverage outlets as needed.
- Distributes deliveries to appropriate Food & Beverage outlets while ensuring proper storage, organization, and product rotation standards are maintained.
- Safely operates pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment when moving and storing product.
