About The Position

The Food & Beverage Team Leader at Target is responsible for leading the Food & Beverage team to ensure a fresh, full, and food-safe shopping experience for guests. This role involves managing daily operations, inventory, and team performance while fostering a guest-first culture. The Team Leader will also be involved in training and developing team members, executing food safety standards, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
• Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable
• Effective communication skills
• Capability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

Responsibilities

• Understand sales goals and execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
• Ensure a fresh, full, and food-safe area during all operating hours by leveraging strong inventory management and food safety policies.
• Assess Food & Beverage areas and develop business plans based on reporting and trends.
• Ensure proper execution of food safety standards and cleaning routines.
• Validate and follow-up on team members' progress against daily assignments and best practices.
• Work a flexible schedule that aligns with guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Establish relationships with vendors to ensure brand standards are met and areas are maintained.
• Lead the team to uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards and foster productive relationships with relevant managers.
• Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
• Participate in team onboarding and training to close knowledge gaps.
