We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to build and lead our Tax-focused Food & Beverage Practice in the NYC area and based in our NYC office . This high-profile leadership role will focus on strategic growth in the Food & Beverage sector, with an emphasis on tax services for multi-unit operators, manufacturers, and distributors. As a Senior Manager , you will serve as both a strategic and tactical leader, responsible for developing a high-performing tax team, executing market strategy, and integrating efforts with our national Industrial & Consumer Products (ICP) team. You’ll collaborate with local office and industry leadership to ensure market penetration and visibility of our full suite of tax services. This is a leadership-first role , requiring a dynamic professional with deep tax expertise, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for driving results in the Food & Beverage space. Requirements
- CPA, JD, LLM, or MST required; MBA preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years in professional services, with 5+ years in Food & Beverage tax
- Experience with multi-unit operations strongly preferred
- Strong technical tax knowledge and strategic planning capabilities
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated success in formal sales process deployment and team leadership
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and intellectual agility (IQ)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience at a Top 50 CPA firm is a plus
Responsibilities
- Driving growth in client base and key industry relationships through market-facing activities
- Identifying and pursuing strategic tax planning and compliance opportunities for businesses, while overseeing high quality delivery in alignment with national standards
- Providing thought leadership and market insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining deep awareness of client tax needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Contributing to national Food & Beverage strategy sessions and marketing initiatives, and represent the Firm at key events, sponsorships and affiliations
