About The Position

We are looking for passionate and energetic baristas with a heart to serve to join our team. This candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and enjoy working with people. The Café Barista is responsible for assisting in all Gateway Café & Food Services operations, including front and back of house operations, café sales, restocking, cleaning, mentoring volunteers, exceptional listening & verbal skills and providing top notch guest service, as well as producing quality espresso drinks. All Baristas must secure a Food Handler's Certificate, which will be supplied by the Café & Food Services team Proficiency in all areas of the café is required, including efficiency of producing quality espresso drinks & maintenance of equipment Work with a sense of urgency and are highly motivated Must possess strong guest service skills and be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings & special events Proficiency in food & drink preparation, display, and serving Speed & efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality standards Adhering to all health & food safety regulations and quality controls Point-of-Sale Promoting a clean, professional appearance and able to adhere to dress code guidelines Punctuality and reliability This is a part-time position of approximately 10-25 hours per week to support Gateway Church needs Gateway Church does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law as it applies to churches. Requirements
