About The Position

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation and service standards across all Food & Beverage outlets, including the restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and hotel amenity spaces. This role plays a key leadership function in delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting banquet and special event operations, and driving operational and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a luxury environment, demonstrates strong operational expertise, and inspires excellence within their team. Schedules may vary based on business needs and include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Food & Beverage leadership experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with POS systems (Micros, Aloha, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • NYC Food Handler’s Certificate required (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

  • Banquet and private event experience strongly preferred
  • TIPS certification preferred
  • Passion for hospitality and commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily service operations, ensuring the highest luxury hospitality standards
  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, supporting team members and engaging with guests
  • Anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized, intuitive service
  • Handle guest concerns professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and follow-up
  • Ensure team awareness of VIP guests and special requests
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance service standards and operational efficiency
  • Support the planning and execution of private events, banquets, and special functions
  • Oversee event setup, service flow, staffing, and breakdown
  • Collaborate with culinary, events sales, and hotel leadership to ensure seamless execution
  • Act as floor leader during events to ensure exceptional service and operational excellence
  • Lead, coach, and motivate service team members to achieve excellence
  • Conduct daily briefings, training, and performance coaching
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing team members
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and adherence to service standards
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment
  • Support labor management, scheduling, and payroll review
  • Assist with inventory management and cost control initiatives
  • Ensure accurate reporting, cash handling, and operational documentation
  • Support departmental revenue goals while maintaining luxury service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and NYC health and safety regulations
