About The Position

Black Desert Resort, located in the stunning landscape of Southern Utah, offers a luxury dining experience with Latitude Restaurant, a premier venue known for its refined cuisine, exceptional service, and upscale atmosphere. The Food & Beverage Department plays a crucial role in providing world-class hospitality and ensuring seamless operations across multiple venues. Job Summary: The Latitude Supervisor at Black Desert Resort is responsible for supporting the daily front-of-house (FOH) operations of Latitude Restaurant, ensuring exceptional service, team leadership, and operational efficiency. Reporting to the F&B Manager – Latitude Restaurant, this position plays a hands-on role in service execution, staff training, and guest relations while maintaining the highest hospitality standards. Additionally, the Latitude Supervisor assists in overseeing the ensuring these outlets operate efficiently and meet resort service expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or food & beverage experience, preferably in a luxury or fine dining setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for hospitality and service excellence.
  • Knowledge of wine pairings, coffee programs, and craft cocktail service.
  • Experience with POS systems, reservations software, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on restaurant and bar operations.
  • Must be of legal age to serve liquor in State of Utah
  • ServSafe and responsible alcohol service certifications within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing FOH operations at Latitude Restaurant ensuring smooth service and adherence to resort hospitality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise servers, bartenders, baristas, and hosts, fostering a guest-first culture and high-performing team.
  • Ensure efficient service flow by coordinating with the culinary team and beverage staff to maintain exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, labor management, and shift planning to optimize productivity and service levels.
  • Support guest relations, handling special requests, resolving concerns, and enhancing the overall dining and beverage experience.
  • Maintain venue cleanliness, ambiance, and presentation, ensuring all FOH areas uphold luxury service standards.
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management for restaurant and beverage operations.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings, communicating menu updates, promotions, and service expectations.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and accurate financial reporting for Latitude.
  • Support event coordination and execution, including private dining experiences, coffee tastings, and specialty beverage promotions
  • Other duties as assigned
