About The Position

Aramark Destinations Pikes Peak is seeking a Food and Beverage Operations Manager who is not only an experienced leader but also a skilled chef with strong culinary expertise. This individual must have a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences and an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the business. This role will oversee food and beverage operations at three distinct locations: The Summit Visitor Center, Glen Cove Inn, and the newly created Food Trailer at Crystal Reservoir Gift Shop (operating Memorial Day through Labor Day). Additionally, this role will spearhead the launch and management of Blacksmith Catering, operating under Aramark Destinations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience as a professional chef, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Previous Aramark experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in food and beverage management, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency in Micros, Birchstreet, and PrimaWeb.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost control, P&L management, and revenue growth strategies.
  • Required food and beverage certifications (ServSafe, Alcohol Service, etc.).
  • Ability to work at high elevations and adapt to varying weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the executive chef for all locations, ensuring high-quality food production, menu innovation, and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations at Summit Visitor Center, Glen Cove Inn, and Crystal Reservoir Food Trailer.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive the success of Blacksmith Catering, ensuring top tier catering services and customized menu offerings.
  • Manage budgets, inventory, and purchasing using Micros, Birchstreet, and PrimaWeb.
  • Develop and execute creative, high-quality menus, seasonal offerings, and catering packages.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations, including ServSafe certification requirements.
  • Work effectively at high elevations and adapt to the unique challenges of Pikes Peak's operational environment.
  • Work closely with corporate teams and local vendors to align operations with company standards and drive business growth.
  • Serve as a team player by actively working across all areas of Pikes Peak, including but not limited to Food & Beverage, Custodial, and Retail, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $75,000 to $80,000.
