About The Position

SplashDown Beach, America’s Biggest Little Water Park located in Fishkill, NY, is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager. Our ideal candidate can work efficiently in fast paced food stand environments, assisting the operation in all capacities. This includes but is not limited to taking food orders for an average of 2000+ guests daily, working the grill, fryer and pizza oven, cleaning the front and back of house, handling cash, etc. You will manage a team ranging from 30 to 50 members daily, ensuring breaks are issued, checklists are updated, and all restaurants are ready for operation. Must possess a passion for outstanding guest service and a strong sense of pride. Be a strong team player who works in conjunction and cohesively with others and under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director. Requirements

  • Several years demonstrated leadership skills and mastery of all stations in a QSR environment
  • Demonstrated Menu Development (Food and Beverage - both Alcoholic and Non–Alcoholic) and Cost Controls
  • Demonstrated cash handling skills
  • Prior Food Ordering experience
  • TIPs and Serve Safe Certified
  • Current industry knowledge of Food and Beverage trends in the QSR realm
  • Strong hospitality skill-set and impeccable sanitation and safety standards
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems
  • Ability to work on your feet throughout the day and lift 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis
  • Strong work ethic, adept at multitasking, and a true team player
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and understand English
  • Flexible Schedule; must be available a minimum of 5 days a week, prepared to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all front and back of house team members are executing to SplashDown Beach standards by consistently monitoring and coaching
  • Assist in taking accurate guest orders in a timely and hospitable manner
  • Ensure all meals and tray components of every order (beverages, condiments, etc.) are accurate at time of delivery
  • Memorize ingredients in menu items to accurately relay any allergy concern to guests
  • Assist in the cooking and preparation of menu items during service
  • Ensure that all front and back of house areas exceed sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with team to prep all restaurants for next day
  • Constantly monitor our guest experience by soliciting feedback
  • Create and adjust schedule based on business demands
