About The Position

Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Lure and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is a vibrant community offering exceptional dining, recreation, and hospitality experiences. Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences? We’re seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee our restaurants, bars, and event venues. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll work closely with your team and fellow leaders to deliver outstanding service, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and drive strong financial performance. This is a full-time, exempt position. Candidates must have flexible availability to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Requirements

  • A minimum of one year experience in a food & beverage management role (restaurant, resort, private club, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and budgeting skills
  • Creative thinker with a customer-first mindset and a positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in hospitality a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working long shifts in a fast-paced, hot, and humid environment
  • Ability to speak clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Ability to drive vehicle for performance of job duties

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing food & beverage team.
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Oversee budgets, labor, inventory, and supplies to meet financial goals.
  • Ensure daily operations comply with health, safety, and ABC laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement new promotions, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director on forecasting and planning.
