About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager I is responsible for all food and beverage operations, which includes culinary, restaurant, and beverage services. The position oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintains standards, and meets or exceeds financial goals. The manager demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations and develops and implements a business plan for food and beverage operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
• Or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Utilizes budgets to understand financial objectives.
• Manages the Food and Beverage departments and supervises employees.
• Oversees all day-to-day operations and understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in their absence.
• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
• Creates and nurtures a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Provides excellent customer service to all employees and responds quickly to employee concerns.
• Sets clear expectations with employees and team leaders and ensures appropriate rewards are given if expectations are exceeded.
• Ensures all banquet functions are up to standard and exceed guest expectations.
• Conducts performance reviews in a timely manner and promotes both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies.
