About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Food and Beverage operations for Minor League Baseball during the summer season. The intern will work closely with the hospitality group supporting Diamond baseball holdings, learning about the planning, scheduling, and management of food and beverage services in a live event setting.

Requirements

• Self-starter and self-motivated individual.
• Experience in retail, catering, concessions, and/or alcohol service in a hospitality setting.
• Outgoing, energetic, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent customer service and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to solve time-sensitive issues.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Prior experience with point of sales systems.
• Must have SERV Safe and RAMP Certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in planning and scheduling of employees.
• Familiarity with state food safety and liquor laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food & Beverage Department in day-to-day operations for concessions, premium, picnics, and catering.
• Learn and operate the POS system for transactions.
• Receive orders and assist with inventory controls.
• Support Concessions Management in planning and scheduling employees.
• Maintain daily stand stocking and maintenance.

Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $16 to $19.00.
• Hands-on experience in a live event environment.
