About The Position

The Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage is responsible for directing and controlling the efficient operations of food service outlets under the guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager. This role involves overseeing the training of staff, ensuring quality service delivery, managing profit and loss responsibilities, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards in a high-volume casino environment.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service, Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of restaurant or related hospitality experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to communicate change effectively and build commitment.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bar experience preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume food service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Food and Beverage venues according to established policies and procedures.
  • Counsel, guide, and instruct personnel in their duties, including conducting performance reviews and recommending personnel changes.
  • Develop initiatives to increase sales, profitability, and guest counts while maintaining effective cost controls.
  • Compile variance reports, management reports, and budgets to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals.
  • Monitor team member performance to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, addressing any errors or issues.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure menu items are prepared to recipe specifications and maintain knowledge of production procedures.
  • Oversee food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage and handling of products.
  • Respond to guest comments positively and empower supervisors to do the same.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's efficient operation.
