About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide courteous and friendly service to our patrons while maintaining a safe, professional, and friendly environment at the Ohkay Casino. JOB REQUIREMENTS: All F&B Positions - Maintain a positive, helpful, friendly attitude providing exceptional customer service. Provide prompt and courteous service to all patrons needing service in the restaurant. Direct customer complaints to supervisor on duty. Be familiar with all safety rules including Food Safety and carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner. Maintaining professionalism at all times. Assist customers with information on food and beverages. Must be able to calculate and handle money effectively while under pressure. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Responsible for cleaning tables, seating area, etc., in the area during your shift. Maintain good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times. Provide prompt and courteous service to all patrons. Direct customer complaints to supervisor on duty. Responsible for complying with security policies and procedures. Be familiar with procedures relating to robbery, bomb threats and other life-threatening situations. Any and all assignments asked by management. In addition to the above Job Requirements if assigned to work at the Restaurant/Buffett: Ensure Dining area is kept clean and Sanitized Ensure buffet area is kept clean at all times. Performing other duties as assigned and being an overall team player. In addition to the Job Requirements the Coffee Spot Attendant will Promotes coffee consumption by selling coffee and additional items sold within the Coffee Spot and educates guests. Sells all products sold within the area Coffee, Drinks, Pastries, Sweets Etc. Prepares and sells coffee drinks including non-coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for drinks, such as, expresso, latte, cappuccino and other non-coffee drinks. Generates revenues by attracting and educating customers on items sold in the Coffee Spot with an upbeat attitude with attention to customer service. Maintains inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking all items; maintaining drink supplies, pastries, desserts, etc. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; notifying Management when equipment needs repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations in food safety. Maintains the appearance of the Coffee Spot. Updates and trains new employees with all the workings of the Coffee Spot. In addition to the Job Requirements the Cashier (Restaurant/Cantina) will: Familiar with Company policies on checking cashing, credit cards, charge accounts, purchase order, promotion discounts, house charges, employee discounts and complimentary tickets. Responsible for processing all shift paper work pertaining to register, i.e. charges, statements, comps, and daily sheets. Make coffee and fills all drink dispensers and condiments stations when needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to access, read, and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to count money and make change appropriately.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to concentrate in very fast-paced environment and exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and taking effective actions.
  • Present ideas effectively both orally and written.

  • Background in hospitality helpful.
