About The Position

The Food as Medicine Program Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing innovative food security programs and initiatives that aim to enhance food equity and food literacy. This role requires adherence to the program directives of the funding source and alignment with the philosophical framework established by the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience as a manager in community food systems, equity/social justice, urban/food planning, environmental/food policy, nutrition, public health, or related field with responsibility for staff supervision and planning.
• Demonstrated interest and knowledge of local community food systems.
• Experience working with diverse communities including recipients of public benefits.
• Knowledge and understanding of how systemic inequities contribute to issues of food access and justice.
• Strong project management and evaluation skills.
• A current Hawaii State Driver's License and daily access to an automobile.
