The position involves performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled duties in the kitchen and/or dining room. Responsibilities include preparing bread and butter, sandwiches, beverages, and individual servings of cold cereal, fruit juice, and salads as needed. The role also requires setting up and delivering food carts or trays to the dining room, serving residents, and setting up food trays according to diet cards. Additional tasks include placing silverware, glassware, and dishes on trays or tables, portioning food, scraping food from soiled dishes, and transporting them to the dish machine area. The employee will also carry and dispose of garbage and perform cleaning tasks on equipment, floors, walls, and related areas.
