About The Position

The position is responsible for the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring that all products served meet established specifications and standards. The role involves supervising various staff members including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff, while also managing the department's budget and compliance with policies and regulations. The individual will lead by creating a positive work environment, conduct inspections, and ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained. The position also includes risk management responsibilities to eliminate exposure to insurance claims and legal challenges.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Knowledge of gaming facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of food and beverage outlets.
  • Directly supervise bartenders, beverage servers, porters, hosts, food runners, server assistants, casino stand leaders, F&B outlet attendants, counter persons, and cooks.
  • Check schedules daily for changes due to unplanned business conditions.
  • Control costs of sales, labor, and profitability for the department.
  • Read and understand policies and procedures outlined in the Team member Handbook.
  • Report policy violations or problems to the supervisor/manager or Human Resources.
  • Make suggestions for improving guest service and job efficiency.
  • Run pre-shift meetings and assign workstations to team members.
  • Lead team members in a positive and supportive environment.
  • Assist in developing and administering the departmental operating budget.
  • Enforce appearance and uniform guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with team members to facilitate effective communication.
  • Conduct daily walk-through inspections of service areas.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs to the manager.
  • Pay attention to safety matters and report them immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Solicit and respond to guest feedback.
  • Ensure all revenue is captured and reported accurately.
  • Manage risk factors to eliminate exposure to claims and legal challenges.
