About The Position

The Food and Beverage Operations Manager at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering, beverage, and concession departments. This role focuses on enhancing revenue and guest satisfaction through effective event management, staff supervision, and operational support. The manager will ensure compliance with service policies, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and provide training and mentorship to staff while coordinating with other departments to deliver exceptional service during events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in food and beverage management.
• Six years of experience in food and beverage operations or related field.
• Valid Georgia driver's license required.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate in Food and Beverage/Hospitality management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a staff of 20 or more, including two supervisory positions and part-time employees.
• Oversee event planning, scheduling, inventory management, and compliance with alcohol service policies.
• Ensure proper setup and sanitation standards for food and beverage locations before events.
• Monitor POS systems and troubleshoot issues during events.
• Resolve guest complaints and provide post-event evaluations.
• Maintain compliance with all sanitary and alcohol service policies and report issues to the Director of Food and Beverage.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure proper service delivery.
• Manage beverage and supply inventory controls and drive the physical inventory process.
• Achieve established revenue, expense, and profit goals for the department.
• Address safety concerns and ensure a harassment-free work environment.
