About The Position

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center. This includes managing culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations while ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards, and achieving financial goals. The role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage laws and regulations, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective business plans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related area; or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management or related field with 2 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant management role.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management in food and beverage operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments.
  • Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Manages the Food and Beverage departments, supervising and managing employees and day-to-day operations.
  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence team members, advocating sound financial decisions.
  • Creates a motivating environment that emphasizes teamwork and continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Responds proactively to employee and guest concerns, providing excellent customer service and resolving complaints.
  • Conducts performance reviews and identifies developmental needs of team members, providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate accounting procedures and drives effective departmental communication.
